THE PROPERTY STYLIST
Founded in 2015 by Designer Becky Freeman, The Property Stylist was born from a passion for crafting captivating spaces. By taking the mediocre and distinguishing it apart from the rest, Becky envisioned the opportunity to combine her expert home renovation skills with her love of decorating & styling to offer the Toronto market a bespoke way to approach home staging.

After years of working in Interior Design and Construction, Becky wanted a way to transform spaces faster and more dynamically.
Her initial freelance venture, prompted by a connection with a fellow interior designer & stager, ignited her passion for physically reshaping spaces through staging.
2017
DESIGN IS IN HER BLOOD
The experience and lure of home improvement is an integral part of Becky’s childhood memories. “The smell of fresh lumber will always be a nod to the nostalgic experience growing up with renovation fever in the house”. Fast forward to completing her first decade in her interior design business when a new idea propelled the vision of combining her love of renovations + an untapped asset of interior styling to create the concept for The Property Stylist.

In 2017, as the business began to expand, Becky upgraded from an outdoor storage unit to a more spacious indoor facility with drive-in access to enhance inventory protection and streamline operations. A larger team was established, including TPS's inaugural assistant, contributing to improved packing and care for staged properties. Another significant development that year was the establishment of an exclusive partnership with a reputable moving company, guaranteeing secure transportation between the storage facility and staged properties and laying the groundwork for a successful year.

In January 2020, we initiated a growth phase by adding our first operational team member and two freelance stylists, doubling the size of our creative team to 4 Stylists. As the intricacies of COVID-19 and the lockdowns challenged every aspect of the business, our unwavering commitment to excellence persisted, leading us to emerge stronger and even more determined.

In 2022, after high demand from both our existing staging clients and social media followers who admired our design aesthetic, we launched our Styled To Stay interior consulting service. Now we were able to take our passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces and offer this to clients beyond home staging.

In 2021, amidst the booming real estate market, we witnessed a tremendous growth in our business. The number of properties we handled on a monthly basis nearly doubled compared to the previous year. This rapid expansion prompted us to reevaluate our current workspace. Although our existing location was working, we recognized it was limiting our ability for growth. With our eyes set on the future, we yearned for a space that allowed us to exercise full creative control and design. Our search led us to a remarkable space with 10,000 square feet of space brimming with potential.

In 2022, we introduced TPS Property Concierge, a comprehensive property preparation service that integrates our full suite of offerings; property assessment, discovery report, project management for upgrades and renovations, and full staging. Our goal was to ease the stress of selling your home, providing a seamless, stress-free process that enhances your property's value, ultimately leading to a successful and lucrative sale.

UNLOCKING PROPERTY ENHANCEMENTS
Becky noticed the chance to leverage her expertise in home renovation and improvement. This gave rise to The Discovery Report - a custom document offering clients insightful suggestions for boosting the property's appeal and value through upgraded fixtures and finishes, maximizing the benefits of The Property Stylist staging services.
